March 2011 is going to be a busy month for the boys of Southern Alternative Rock. "Hester" is scheduled to perform at The Hard Rock Biloxi / Hard Rock Cafe, The Chill Ultra Lounge at The IP Casino Resort and by special request, a repeat performance at The Julep Room in Ocean Springs.  The Julep Room venue had received calls regarding the late starting time for their last performance (10 PM) was too late so they will appear on March 5th, 2011 beginning at 9:00 PM until "The Last Man Standing" before ending the night. If  you missed their performance on February 11th be sure and make this earlier show. Their last performance was to a record crowd with not a seat or standing room to spare as they celebrated the Dynasty Records release of "Here I Am' the groups current compact disc available at record outlets and on the Internet at over 250 download websites.

The Southern Alternative Rock Band "Hester" performed to a standing room only, packed house last Friday night at The Julep Room in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The Julep Room (known for supporting indie artists) slogan "It's All About The Music" held true when "Hester" rocked the house with songs from their recent Dynasty Records release "Here I Am" along with some newer rocking material slated for their next compact disc due out later this year. The first ten fans to enter the venue received a free copy of "Here I Am" and it's on sale at all of their live performances, at every major record outlet in the U.S. and Canada and on over 250 download sites on the web (Amazon, ITunes  and Rhapsody to name a few) so be sure and pickup your copy soon.

The night was so overwhelmingly successful that management has requested a special repeat performance of "Hester" for Saturday, March 5th, 2011. The boys of "Hester" responded to the call with this statement:

"We always look forward to performing at The Julep Room where we got our start as a band. It is like our home and we appreciate all the fans coming out to support us wherever and whenever we play a live show. A lot of people were requesting for us to start earlier than 10 PM last Friday but the date and time had already been set in stone. For the next show on March 5th we plan on starting at 9 PM and give everyone who missed that show a chance to make this one. We plan on turning this into a Warm Up Party for MARDI GRAS which takes place the following Tuesday so everyone will have a five day run of celebration for Fat Tuesday. Hope we see all our fans there on the  5th. Peace!"

Presented to you by Dynasty Records and The Julep Room "HESTER" Live on March 5th, 2011

These guys - Larry Hester: lead vocals/acoustic guitar/harmonica, Tommy Noland: drums, Chris Cockrell: bass and Bryan Austin: lead guitar on CD, Texan Rusty Byard now - have been playing locally a bit, and lead singer Larry Hester has a long resume. He was born in South Alabama, began writing songs at 10 and touring at 19, ending up in Southern California. His song "Burning" appears in the skateboard cult classic "Thrashin", and he has songs in other movies. These songs have similar tempos/chord structures. My current faves are the title song and "Why Can't You Stay", which are "rock ballads" with nifty drums and spicy lead guitar breaks. Investigate online, attend a show featuring some harder-rocking material (Julep Room 10 PM on Feb 11 is next) then snag a copy at local stores or digital outlets.
